With the appearance of the Internet in Poland and the popularization of computers, it began to observe at the beginning disturbing phenomenon of getting in touch with total strangers, about whom we could not know anything beyond what they told us. Today, thanks to warning campaigns, we have more and more knowledge about online threats, but also we are increasingly willing to contact with people from another town, country or continent.

Thanks to the internet, barrier of boundaries and space practically ceased to exist. More and more couples openly admits to get to know their other “half” on the internet and even if the older generation is still frowned upon adopting such knowledge, it is a fact which can no longer be denied. Young people in search of love, look not only at the thematic chats, chat rooms and videoconferences, but also on the super-trendy messaging that allows them to see thamselves, eye to eye - with the help of mini-cameras.

The problem that arises in relation with the more frequently created relationships at a distance, however, is the question of maintaining such a sense of intimacy, especially if it takes place at the ends of two quite different worlds. In the network even sophisticated hunters appeared who seduce, manipulate, and extort money from unhappily in love with them people and then flee. Can we control it? Just like in real life - not necessarily.
